Jim Parkman has over 40 years experience as a skilled courtroom litigator. He serves the Parker Trial Law Team as an “Of Counsel” member, with a rich successful history of representing numerous high profile clients in a wide-array of legal matters. The bulk of Jim’s career has been spent advocating for his client’s interests by way of defense counsel and plaintiff’s attorney in both criminal and civil actions. Jim’s passion for justice throughout his career has led him to handle cases all over the United States. Currently Jim primarily works out of his Birmingham, Alabama office but he is glad to meet with Wiregrass area clients in our Dothan, Alabama office when necessary.

During Jim’s 40 years of distinguished service as a plaintiffs’ and defendants’ attorney, he has been a part of litigating cases throughout the country, dealing with just about every type of legal issue. Jim is best known for his work as a lead counsel member in the 2005 HealthSouth case where he was able to get his client, the first CEO charged under the 2002 Federal Sarbanes-Oxley Law, a not guilty verdict in federal court.
